Redefining Slim with the Aorus X7
Introducing the World’s Slimmest and Lightest SLI-Capable Gaming Notebook
Just when you think it would be impossible to fit two GPUs into a notebook, an emerging company by the name of Aorus has come out of the shadows to prove us wrong on not one premise, but two. Not only have they created a gaming notebook with two GPUs inside (sadly, they’re not the first. That title belongs to another company), but it’s also the slimmest and lightest gaming laptop in the world.
First announced during CES 2014, the Aorus X7 measures at 22.9mm and weighs 2.9kg. During the convention, the company who designed it was turning the heads of manufacturers and gamers alike, all because of what it also packed inside of it. The machine is backed by two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M GPUs, which effectively give a total of 4GB of GDDR5 video memory to run any game on the market at present.
It’s not just the dual graphics that Aorus has focused on. Other specifications include a 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB DDR3 memory, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 32GB, a 17.3-inch anti-glare Full HD display, anti-ghost backlit Keyboard and two mSATA 256GB SSDs in a RAID 0 configuration.
The Aorus X7 is the slimmest and lightest gaming notebook to date.
