Lei Jun, Founder, Chair­man and CEO

Be­fore Lei set up Xiaomi, he was an ac­tive en­tre­pre­neur in the Chi­nese tech in­dus­try. Lei was part of the found­ing team of King­soft in 1992, and be­came its CEO in 1998.

He was also a founder of on­line re­tailer Joyo, which he sold to Ama­zon in 2004 for US$75 mil­lion. Lei is also a well-known in­vestor in sev­eral Chi­nese com­pa­nies such as UC Web, a mo­bile In­ter­net com­pany.

Lin Bin, Co-founder, Pres­i­dent

As Pres­i­dent of Xiaomi, Bin is in charge of the com­pany’s day-to-day op­er­a­tions, busi­ness and prod­uct strat­egy, car­rier re­la­tion­ship, and strate­gic part­ner­ship with do­mes­tic and in­ter­na­tional car­ri­ers, sup­pli­ers and busi­ness part­ners.

Bin worked at Mi­crosoft from 1995 to 2006 and held se­nior po­si­tions such as Se­nior De­vel­op­ment Man­ager at Mi­crosoft Re­search Asia. He then joined Google as En­gi­neer­ing Di­rec­tor from 2006 to 2010.

Hugo Barra, Vice Pres­i­dent

Barra is re­spon­si­ble for Xiaomi’s prod­uct port­fo­lio and op­er­a­tions in all mar­kets out­side Main­land China.

Be­fore join­ing Xiaomi in Oc­to­ber 2013, Barra worked for five and a half years in Google. He over­saw the de­vel­op­ment of the An­droid plat­form, Nexus de­vice port­fo­lio and sev­eral of Google’s An­droid apps.
