Mi­crosoft Malaysia Ap­points Ruk­mani Subra­ma­niam as New Chief Mar­ket­ing and Op­er­a­tions Of­fi­cer

Mi­crosoft re­cently an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Ruk­mani Subra­ma­niam as its new Chief Mar­ket­ing and Op­er­a­tions Of­fi­cer for Malaysia. In this role, Ruk­mani will lead the mar­ket­ing and op­er­a­tions func­tions of the sub­sidiary.

Reporting to Car­los Lac­erda, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Mi­crosoft Malaysia, she will also play a key lead­er­ship role in di­rect­ing and man­ag­ing the over­all busi­ness and mar­ket­ing strate­gies, as well as ex­e­cu­tion in Malaysia, over­see­ing prod­uct mar­ket­ing groups, mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions, com­pete, busi­ness op­er­a­tions, en­ter­prise mar­ket­ing, pub­lic re­la­tions, as well as cus­tomer and part­ner ex­pe­ri­ence ef­forts.

Ruk­mani will as­sume her re­spon­si­bil­i­ties as Chief Mar­ket­ing and Op­er­a­tions Of­fi­cer for Mi­crosoft Malaysia upon com­ple­tion of the nec­es­sary work au­tho­riza­tion pro­cesses.

Jamie Lerner to Join Sea­gate as Pres­i­dent of Cloud Sys­tems and So­lu­tions

In early March, Sea­gate an­nounced that for­mer Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent and Gen­eral Man­ager of the Cloud and Sys­tems Man­age­ment Tech­nol­ogy Group at Cisco Sys­tems, Jamie Lerner will join the com­pany as the Pres­i­dent of Cloud Sys­tems and So­lu­tions.

Over the last five years at Cisco, Lerner built the com­pany’s Ser­vice Provider and Net­work Man­age­ment businesses, ul­ti­mately leading to the cre­ation of the com­pany’s ex­panded cloud and sys­tems man­age­ment di­vi­sion.

Lerner joined Sea­gate on March 10 and re­ports di­rectly to Sea­gate’s Chair­man and CEO Steve Luczo. “The tran­si­tions hap­pen­ing in cloud com­put­ing rep­re­sent sig­nif­i­cant changes for the stor­age in­dus­try and we are ex­pand­ing Sea­gate’s op­por­tu­ni­ties by ad­vanc­ing our tech­nol­ogy port­fo­lio for greater ca­pac­ity and ef­fi­ciency in hy­per­scale de­ploy­ments,” said Steve Luczo, Chair­man and CEO, Sea­gate.
