Bug Prevents Android Wear Devices from Installing Paid Apps
With the announcement of Android Wear at this year's Google I/O, the company's focus has now been reinvigorated with a new push for more wearables. However, prominent issues have already started arising with apps that target Wear devices. A bug in Google's app encryption prevents paid apps from being installed on Android Wear devices. The app encryption feature was initially added to the Google Play Store in order to encode paid apps with a device-specific key. However, due to the app encryption, Android Wear devices were unable to extract
the file of the encrypted APK.
