HEART OF THE RIG
A CPU THAT’S DESIGNED FOR GAMING
Intel has a reputation for producing some of the most reliable processors in the world. Designed to perform while merely seeping wattage and maintaining a low temperature, their Core architecture CPUs are the choices of gamers and
overclockers alike. Their new Devil’s Canyon CPU is no exception.
INTEL CORE I7-4790K DEVIL’S CANYON
The latest CPU in the company’s portfolio, Devil’s Canyon is actually a refresh of the company’s previous Haswell processors, which came out less than a year ago. By comparison, the topof-theline Haswell processor has a base clock speed of 3.5GHz, which could be boost well beyond the 4.0GHz mark. With the Devil’s Canyon processor, Intel has managed to set its base clock speed at 4GHz, and have enough room to reach boost clock speeds of 4.5GHz, thanks to the new Thermal Interface Material (TIM) which is used to make the processor.
• 4.0GHz base clock, 4.5GHz boost clock • New Thermal Inter face Material (TIM) for better heat dissipation • Supports all 9-Series Intel motherboards • 4 Cores, 8 Threads • Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 • Intel Hyper-Threading Technology
