AIMS Group to Provide IBM’s Manages Security Services to Malaysian Customers
Last month, AIMS Group (AIMS) announced that they will be providing IBM’s range of high quality Managed Security Services (MSS) in Malaysia. This was a result of their recent agreement with IBM.
“According to a Ponemon Institute study in 2013, a business could lose as much as US$136 per lost record of data in the event of a cyber-security breach. However, enterprise-level security can be too costly or hard to manage for an SME (Small and Medium Enterprise), which is why AIMS has teamed up with IBM to address this need,” said Chiew Kok Hin, CEO of AIMS Group.
He added that with the new partnership, AIMS’ clients will be able to select a managed security service that suits their business IT requirements and not have to invest in personnel or security infrastructure, opting for a one-stop service provider to manage their security infrastructure and security policies.
According to AIMS, with MSS, customers will not only have world-class enterpriselevel security, but can expect to save up to 50 percent on the operation costs that an in-house security deployment and management will typically cost.
With the IBM Security Framework, AIMS will deliver the new Managed Security Services using a cloud-based Virtual Security Operations Center (VSOC). This platform provides customers full control and monitoring capabilities over their security environment.
This will lead to reduced costs and added simplicity, better risk management with greater visibility and security intelligence, managed and monitoring services delivered through proven processes, integrated technology, and 24/7 technical expertise from AIMS.
