Ocu­lus VR to Hold First De­vel­oper Con­fer­ence in Septem­ber

Ocu­lus VR, the tech­nol­ogy com­pany be­hind the Ocu­lus Rift vir­tual re­al­ity head­set, an­nounced that it will be host­ing its first de­vel­oper con­fer­ence, Ocu­lus Con­nect, from Septem­ber 19 to Septem­ber 20, 2014.

The two-day con­fer­ence will be led by a group of en­gi­neers from the com­pany it­self, along with ex­perts from the vir­tual re­al­ity (VR) in­dus­try, with the aim of cre­at­ing the best VR ex­pe­ri­ences pos­si­ble. As con­firmed by an Ocu­lus VR spokesper­son, there will be livestream key­notes from the com­pany’s CEO, Founder, Chief Tech­nol­ogy Of­fi­cer, as well as Chief Sci­en­tist. Not only that, par­tic­i­pants will get to learn about the lat­est de­vel­op­ments on up­com­ing Ocu­lus tech­nol­ogy and at­tend work­shops that are con­ducted by the Ocu­lus VR team. The com­pany also an­nounced that it has ac­quired RakNet, an open-source C++ net­work­ing mid­dle­ware sys­tem by Jenk­ins Soft­ware.

Ocu­lus Con­nect will be held at the Loews Hol­ly­wood Ho­tel in Cal­i­for­nia. Reg­is­tra­tions can be made start­ing July 10 at the Ocu­lus Con­nect web­site.
