Oculus VR to Hold First Developer Conference in September
Oculus VR, the technology company behind the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, announced that it will be hosting its first developer conference, Oculus Connect, from September 19 to September 20, 2014.
The two-day conference will be led by a group of engineers from the company itself, along with experts from the virtual reality (VR) industry, with the aim of creating the best VR experiences possible. As confirmed by an Oculus VR spokesperson, there will be livestream keynotes from the company’s CEO, Founder, Chief Technology Officer, as well as Chief Scientist. Not only that, participants will get to learn about the latest developments on upcoming Oculus technology and attend workshops that are conducted by the Oculus VR team. The company also announced that it has acquired RakNet, an open-source C++ networking middleware system by Jenkins Software.
Oculus Connect will be held at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in California. Registrations can be made starting July 10 at the Oculus Connect website.
