Twitch streamers often build their followings through real-time interactions with their viewers as they stream. Unlike YouTube video uploads that have the luxury of post-recording editing, Twitch streams are often more raw and exciting by virtue of their immediacy, and also offer viewers the opportunity to interact with each other and the streamer via the live chat box at the side of the stream.
