What would you answer if asked: “What is a photographer’s best friend?” In the age of digital photography, the answer is storage and connectivity. Nothing is more priceless to a photographer on the field than the ability to backup their photos fast and securely, and having effortless access to those photos. Most of the best photos in the world are taken in areas where there is no Internet connectivity, and a photographer who depends solely on cloud storage in this situation would find themselves in trouble, that is unless they have a WD My Passport Wireless with them. More than just a portable hard drive, the

– which comes in 1TB and 2TB – has features that are unmatched in its class. The drive offers a built-in SD card slot, which allows the photographer to backup or transferer photos taken with any of their cameras, thus allowing for on-the-go duplication of their work, or freeing up the memory card for more photos.

Once the photos are copied into the drive, they can then access them wirelessly. Up to eight devices can connect to the My Passport Wireless at any one time to browse and edit photos without the need of messy cables. The My Passport Wireless can also stream videos, photos and music usic to connected TVs, media players, gaming consoles and other ther DLNA/UPnP devices. As an added bonus, the My Passport Wireless can also function as a secure Wi-Fi hotspot and share Internet access cess with other connected devices upon joining a wireless network. For those who still prefer cables, the drive is equipped with a USB 3.0 port. The built-in 3,400mAh battery, tery, on the other hand, offers six hours of continuous video streaming and up to 20 hours of standby time.
