A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME
In 1974, Casio introduced its very first digital wristwatch, the CASIOTRON. It featured CMOS LSI technology developed from its successful electronic calculators, to provide automatic calendar functionality. As a computerized feature, you could technically call the CASIOTRON a “smart” watch. For the next 30 years, Casio would develop dozens of multifunctional digital watches that can all be considered the true forefathers of the modern smartwatch.
