Pluto has been our So­lar Sys­tem’s last hold­out. Even though it was first dis­cov­ered back in 1930 by Clyde Tom­baugh, a glimpse of the for­mer planet turned dwarf planet has eluded us. That is, un­til NASA’s New Hori­zons craft swung by the icy star back in July and beamed back the first-ever im­ages. Here’s how it was done.
