The benefits brought by the VR immersion is not limited to that of the entertainment world. Local developer HezMedia has dabbled in making educational programs for VR using the Oculus Rift platform. One of its projects is called VRtualize, targeting the field of Health, Safety and Environment. The idea behind this is to cut potentially cut down the training period of personal from days to mere hours, using VR to simulate emergencies such as fires and flash floods and monitoring personnel performance from there, instead of having to recreate them in real life. This leads to savings in not only time, but costs as well for the relevant industries.be feasible, and VR as an idea, re-entered the spotlight.
