When tak­ing self­ies with a smart­phone, the front cam­era on the av­er­age smart­phone sim­ply doesn't cut it. Im­ages of­ten turn out blurry, with your face be­ing barely vis­i­ble, and other de­tails are of­ten not cap­tured ef­fec­tively. To rem­edy this, phone man­u­fac­tur­ers are be­gin­ning to bump up the ca­pa­bil­i­ties of the front-fac­ing cam­era, with ASUS also on the band­wagon with the Zen­Fone Selfie.

The Zen­Fone Selfie is equipped with two 13MP cam­eras – one for the front and the other for the rear. The front cam­era has a dual-tone LED flash for more nat­u­ral­look­ing skin tones, but what's in­ter­est­ing is that the rear cam­era has a laser aut­o­fo­cus­ing sys­tem, which al­lows for fo­cus­ing that's as fast as 0.2 sec­onds.

In terms of hard­ware, the Zen­Fone Selfie sports a Qual­comm Snap­dragon 615 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and 32 GB of in­ter­nal stor­age.
