ASUS­TOR AS1002T

The dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion of a small or home of­fice be­gins with the ASUS­TOR AS1002T, an en­try-level NAS that’s quiet, compact, com­pre­hen­sive, and with un­com­pro­mised per­for­mance. Its de­sign goes above and be­yond other en­try-level NAS of­fer­ings.

Small enough to be hid­den away, the AS1002T is also made pre­sentable with stylish di­a­mond-plate cover de­sign and brushed metal ac­cents. This is one NAS that will not look out of place on a desk­top, or on a shelf.

It func­tions as a pri­vate cloud that serves me­dia, dig­i­tal con­tent, and stor­ing sur­veil­lance for mul­ti­ple devices. It can also work in con­cert with pub­lic clouds, serv­ing as a re­li­able and se­cure home backup of all your im­por­tant files.

In­stalling the AS1002T could not be sim­pler. In­stalling, re­mov­ing, or re­plac­ing new hard drives are made eas­ier, thanks to its tool­less de­sign.

Not only is the AS1002T quiet, it also con­sumes less power than you think. While in disk hi­ber­na­tion, the AS1002T con­sumes only 6.6W of power. Un­der nor­mal op­er­at­ing con­di­tions it only con­sumes 19.4W of power. This ef­fec­tively low­ers the to­tal cost of own­er­ship of the AS1002T.
