Oracle’s Outlook in 2016 report highlights the opportunities that the company is ready to tackle in the coming year. As Malaysia currently has a higher than average regional adoption of digitization adoption, with many companies poised for digital transformation and migrating to cloud computing, it is looked as fertile ground.
Jimmy Cheah, Managing Director of Oracle Malaysia, one of the speakers at the media briefing emphasized the increasing importance of human capital, and how managing human resources has become more critical. He added that the sway of the social media can mean the life and death of a company, which puts a pressure on companies to provide better services.

Dr. Andrew Lau, General Manager of DB Sales at Oracle Malaysia, highlighted Oracle’s Unified Data Management, a capability of Oracle’s solution to integrate, process, and utilize data from a multitude of sources that is integral to Big Data and mobility. He also introduced a new security perspective where the database becomes the last line of defense against attacks.
