You probably saw this one coming from a mile away – or should we say, a galaxy far, far away. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer TT Games have recently announced that

will be launching on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, and 3DS on June 28, 2016.

Don’t go thinking that the storyline of

would play out exactly like how the actual movie did though, as the game will include brand new content that will depict the events that took place between

and

will also feature new gameplay mechanics as well, such as the ‘Multi-Builds’ system, which allows players to “choose from multiple building options to advance the game”. If you’re a huge fan of blaster battles, you’d be happy to know that you’ll be participating in a number of them against the First Order. Prefer having aerial dogfights in space? Good for you, because you’ll be doing so in a variety of starships – including the iconic Millennium Falcon – while playing as the characters from the film, which include Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron.

Just so you know, playing

on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 will grant you access to exclusive downloadable content, including the Droid Character Pack, and the Phantom Limb Level Pack. If you’re a die-hard fan of both LEGO and Star Wars, you might want to consider investing in the Deluxe Edition of the game for US$69.99 (approx. RM290), as it will provide you with all future season pass content, and an exclusive Finn (FN-2187) figurine.
