Facebook Celebrates 900 Million User Mark with New Tools for Messenger
96 HWM | M AY 2 0 1 6 Facebook recently announced that they now have 900 million monthly active users using their social media network. In lieu of this milestone, Facebook publicly launched new tools for the Messenger app, which now allows friends and businesses to connect with each other.
More specifically, the new tools include Facebook's new Messenger Code and Messenger Links. Messenger Links is designed to provide businesses with a quick and easy way of starting a thread between users and potential business partners. As explained on their page:
“Messaging a business directly is a fast and convenient way for people to get in touch with questions about products and services, appointments, customer service questions and more. Plus, it allows businesses to build personal connections with the people who are interested in them.”
Messenger Code works in relatively the same way, but differentiates itself by providing unique codes that people can scan in Messenger, and thus
