HWM (Malaysia) - - ED'S NOTE - Michael Low Editor

As much as I hate to admit it, habits do change as we get older. Pulling an all-nighter to finish the latest survival horror release may sound like a no-brainer when you’re in college, but now I’m lucky if I can clear an equal-length, story campaign in a week (or two). In fact, if one were to peek into my recent Steam acquisitions, they will instead find gems like

INSIDE, Virginia, and the live-action psycho-horror that is The Bunker. More often than not, I find myself craving for these shorter experiences, as they tend to be more focused and wellpaced in both narrative and gameplay.

Of course, there are also times when I’m just not in the mood for gaming, and that’s usually when my attention goes to my backlog of Netflix, books, and real-world responsibilities (in no particular order). During one of my catch-up sessions with Deep Space Nine, it suddenly dawned on me that I have completely neglected my progress with

Battlestar Galactica, which I picked up on Blu-ray a while back. This little moment of self-awareness eventually became the basis of our opener this issue (‘Something binge-worthy’, page 45). Happy reading!
