Starbreeze Studios signs agreement to bring System Shock 3 to PC and ‘other platforms’.
The development studio behind Payday 2, Starbreeze Studios, recently signed a publishing deal with Otherside Entertainment to bring first-person shooter System
Shock 3 to the PC and ‘other platforms’. If we were to make an educated guess, we would say that the ‘other platforms’ in question are most likely the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. When asked by GameSpot for a concrete answer, Starbreeze responded by saying, "Other exact platforms are still pending; we’ll share more news about System Shock 3 in the future."
Regardless, we’re plenty excited to see what System
Shock 3 brings to the table, especially since it has now been close to two decades since System Shock 2 was launched back in 1999. Not much of the game has been revealed thus far, apart from the fact that it’s currently in the early concept stages of development under the watchful eye of legendary video game director, Warren Spector.
“We’re greatly looking forward to bringing System
Shock 3 to players worldwide in our collaboration with Otherside Entertainment and Warren Spector’s team. I’ll be first in line to play,” said Bo Andersson-Klint, Chief Executive Officer of Starbreeze.
