Making its mark
iflix is now available in 10 countries across Asia.
Homegrown video-streaming service, iflix, is well on its way to building a rock-solid stronghold in Asia, as its treasure trove of video content was officially made available in Myanmar last month – a mere week after it was launched in Vietnam.
iflix has been aggressively expanding its presence across Asia since its initial launch in Malaysia and Philippines back in mid2015, with Myanmar being the tenth country in the Asia region to receive the service. In case you were wondering, a monthly iflix subscription in Myanmar costs 3,000 MMK – which translates to an incredibly affordable price of RM9.74. Getting an annual subscription, on the other hand, would entitle subscribers to a two-month discount off the standard monthly rate, and would therefore only cost 30,000 MMK (approx. RM97).
If you’ve yet to hop onboard the iflix bandwagon, you can register for a onemonth free trial by downloading the iflix app from the iOS App Store or Google Play. New and existing TM UniFi and Streamyx (4Mbps and 8Mbps) subscribers, meanwhile, will be able to enjoy unlimited access to iflix until December 31, 2017, due to the recent partnership extension between iflix and Telekom Malaysia Berhad.
