Expanding reading habit U Mobile launches booKu app with four digital publishers.
Want to read your favorite fashion or tech magazine digitally? If you’re subscribed to a U Mobile plan, you’ll be happy to know that you can digitally purchase your favorite magazine directly from U Mobile’s new online app, booKu.
The first of its kind in Malaysia, booKu is an app that was made by the telco in collaboration with four of the most popular regional and local digital publishers: SPH Magazines, Pubu eBook, FullAMark, and NovelPlus. The new service essentially enables U Mobile subscribers to purchase their favorite e-book and e-magazines from the previously mentioned publishers, and they can even do so without the need of a credit card. Instead, users who purchase a monthly issue from either or the four publishers with the booKu app will simply have the relevant cost of the magazines deducted from their mobile credit, while postpaid subscribers will be charged through their monthly bills. To download the app, U Mobile subscribers simple need to visit the relevant app stores (iOS App Store or Google Play). Once downloaded, simply sign up for the service by connecting to the U Mobile network. Once connected, a code will be issued via SMS or email.
