As per tradition, Gigabyte’s COMPUTEX showcase was once again hosted on the 36th floor of Taipei 101. At the VIP suite, we saw the flagship X299 AORUS Gaming 9 motherboard kitted with four 400GB Intel SSD 750 Series PCIe SSDs in a RAID configuration, while still spacious enough to accommodate a workstation-class NVIDIA Quadro K620 graphics card.

Another product that caught our attention was Gigabyte’s new Killer xTend PCIe LAN card. It essentially serves as a network switch, where additional devices – such as a PS4, iPhone, or iPad – are connected directly to the PC via one of four Killer Ethernet E2500 ports and wireless-AC module. This helps prioritize important network traffic (read: your online MMOs and multiplayer games) without compromising the web browsing and video streaming experience on the connected devices.

Thanks to Creative’s SoundBlasterX 720˚ software, the X299 AORUS Gaming 7 can take advantage of a Scout Radar feature to visualize enemy movements in supported game titles through your smartphone or tablet.

The AORUS GA-Z270X Gaming 9 – which was honored with the Best Choice Golden Award this year – supports native 4K Ultra HD and HDCP 2.2, allowing for UHD Bluray movie playback on HDR-supported displays.

Gigabyte’s very own Killer xTend PCIe LAN card.
