INTAJ Journal Articles Writing Workshop
MII Members Getting Exposure on Early Writing at the Research Workshop Series:
In Malaysia, research has been limited for the insurance and takaful scope of interests compared to other countries in the region. The Malaysian government aims to enhance research and development activities under the 10th Malaysia Plan in which it has identified some key economic areas including the insurance and takaful sectors. In line with that aim, The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) with the support of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) organised a one-day intensive workshop on Journal Articles Writing on 18 July 2012 at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. This workshop provides participants with early exposure to Journal Articles Writing. It gives an introduction and broad perspective on the general research and skills for journal writing. It also provides knowledge on editorial policy and encourages working professionals to write for the Insurance and Takaful Journal (INTAJ), the biannual research publication of MII. Two distinguished research practitioners and speakers, Professor Dr Abdul Ghafar Ismail of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and En Azman Ismail, an insurance trainer and consultant, shared their expertise on journal research article writing with 40 participants who attended the programme.
