their willingness to continuously learn and develop their own skills.
Here at INCEIF, our academic programmes which are the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional, the Masters in Islamic Finance and the PhD in Islamic Finance are designed to be industry driven to ensure that the industry gets the right talent with a good level of knowledge and employable skills. Furthermore, INCEIF takes a proactive stance on quality, and through regular engagement with the related institutions and industry players as well as our graduates, we are able to continuously monitor and improve the quality of our service and enhance the content of our programmes.
One of the efforts taken towards ensuring the quality of our graduates and wealth of knowledge resource at INCEIF is through a top-notch library. The Knowledge Management Centre (KMC) at INCEIF is one of the most comprehensive Islamic finance libraries in the region. INCEIF's KMC aims to be the best finance library in the world with a growing collection that encompasses resources on both Islamic and conventional finance as well economics, banking as and related subjects. The Digital Library acts as an institutional repository that facilitate and support the teaching, learning and research activities of INCEIF.
The decision to be part of the Knowledge Management Task Force (KMTF) is in line with INCEIF's goal to be a knowledge leader in Islamic finance. The INCEIF community, comprising our students, graduates, faculty and KMC users, will now enjoy access to greater resources which are residing at the other BNM affiliate institutions. Not only would the community be able to leverage on the knowledge and expertise of other institutions through the KMTF, but INCEIF can now offer them a richer collection through the publication exchange programme.
KMTF's proposed Financial Services Knowledge Portal development will also promote INCEIF's rich collection to the industry. As the only university in the collaboration, INCEIF's unique contribution would be through the research work undertaken by our faculty and students on key issues such as micro-finance, risk sharing, and wealth management that are beneficial to both an organisation and society at large. The research goes beyond those done by INCEIF faculty and students as we also work with our partners in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa that include The World Bank, Islamic Financial Services Board, Islamic Development Bank and reputable foreign universities.
The proposed Financial Services Experts Yellow Pages which list the financial experts in the country would be used as a platform to promote the `brains' at INCEIF that include world class economists, econometricians and banking and capital market experts.
For INCEIF, future initiatives from this collaboration would include greater efforts in promoting key research in areas such as capital market, risk sharing, real economy and product development. In addition, we would be able to share the knowledge and information from members of MII, IBFIM and IBBM - all of whom stand to benefit from INCEIF research work and customised executive education programmes.
