PRU­DEN­TIAL As­sur­ance Malaysia Ber­had's Unit Man­ager, Cheah Chun Leng was in­ducted into the Malaysia Book of Records for be­ing the youngest MDRT Life Mem­ber Qual­i­fier in Malaysia fol­low­ing his suc­cess in achiev­ing MDRT Qual­i­fy­ing & Life Mem­ber recog­ni­tion more than 10 times. He first made his mark for MDRT in 2002 and has since qual­i­fied for the recog­ni­tion for 12 con­sec­u­tive years. Cheah be­gan his life in­sur­ance ca­reer at the age of 19 af­ter he was in­tro­duced to the busi­ness by a friend while he was pur­su­ing his ter­tiary ed­u­ca­tion in col­lege. Within the first year in the busi­ness, Cheah qual­i­fied for the Star Club and has done so for 14 con­sec­u­tive years. Star Club is Pru­den­tial’s ul­ti­mate in­cen­tive trip for top achiev­ers within the agency force. He firmly be­lieves that be­ing an “in­ter­na­tional award-win­ning ad­vi­sor” would re­in­force his cred­i­bil­ity as a fi­nan­cial ad­vi­sor. This be­lief has led him to win­ning many other ac­co­lades in­clud­ing the MDRT Lo­cal Chair in 2011, Nam­lifa Akard Award (Per­sonal & Leader) for 10 con­sec­u­tive years and In­ter­na­tional Dragon Award for the last 7 years. Cheah at­tributes his con­sis­tent suc­cess is to hav­ing the right at­ti­tude and habits be­sides re­ceiv­ing coach­ing from the right leader and sup­port from the right agency and com­pany. He hopes that his achieve­ment will be an in­spi­ra­tion to more Gen-Y’s par­tic­i­pa­tion in this line of life in­sur­ance busi­ness which he finds life-chang­ing and re­ward­ing.
