Hu­man Cap­i­tal De­vel­op­ment – Di­a­logue

As part of the con­tin­u­ous ef­fort to re­main rel­e­vant and in­volved in the in­sur­ance in­dus­try, The Malaysia In­sur­ance In­sti­tute (MII) has suc­cess­fully or­gan­ised a Hu­man Cap­i­tal De­vel­op­ment – Di­a­logue on 22 Jan­uary 2014 at MII City Cen­tre, Kuala Lumpur. The ob­jec­tives of the di­a­logue were to up­date the in­dus­try on MII’s de­vel­op­ment and projects, to ob­tain feed­back from the in­dus­try and to strengthen the re­la­tion­ships within the in­dus­try. The di­a­logue man­aged to at­tract the com­mu­nity of Train­ing Heads and Hu­man Re­source Heads from var­i­ous in­sur­ance com­pa­nies such as ACE Jerneh, MSIG, Tokio Ma­rine Life, Great East­ern Life, Etiqa, RHB In­sur­ance, Al­lianz, MCIS Zurich, and Sun Life, to name a few. A to­tal of 47 key rep­re­sen­ta­tives from mem­ber com­pa­nies of PIAM, LIAM, MITBA, MTA, and AIF par­tic­i­pated in the di­a­logue ses­sion. The ses­sion was fa­cil­i­tated by MII’s Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer, Pn. Khadi­jah Ab­dul­lah and MII’s Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer, En. Mohd Taipor Suhadah. Among the is­sues pre­sented and dis­cussed were the Ca­pac­ity Build­ing Projects i.e. In­te­grated Learn­ing Man­age­ment Sys­tem (ILMS), Trans­for­ma­tion Projects, newly de­vel­oped train­ing pro­gramme for 2014 etc. The lively and ac­tive par­tic­i­pa­tion by at­ten­dees at the di­a­logue pro­vided many in­sights and fresh ideas that can help the in­dus­try and MII in achiev­ing bet­ter growth and per­for­mance in hu­man cap­i­tal de­vel­op­ment to­gether. One of the par­tic­i­pants com­mented, “Very pos­i­tive and ex­cit­ing start to 2014 by MII in or­gan­is­ing this di­a­logue. Look­ing for­ward to more.” This is a pos­i­tive state­ment in­deed to un­der­stand and fur­ther de­velop new pro­grammes that mat­ters and will strengthen the re­la­tion­ships within the in­sur­ance in­dus­try.”
