REACHING 100,000 FANS ON FACEBOOK, ALLIANZ MALAYSIA CONTINUES TO CONNECT WITH CUSTOMERS THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA
Allianz Malaysia created another milestone on 24 April 2014; achieving 100,000 fans on its Facebook page as it continues to reach out to customers and the general public through social media. At 8.55am yesterday morning, Afifi Nazari from Selangor became the 100,000th fan on Allianz Malaysia’s Facebook page. Afifi was a lucky person who did not know that he will be rewarded with surprise goodies from Allianz when he clicked the ‘Like’ button on Allianz Malaysia’s Facebook page. He also received a special “Congratulation” mention on the page. This is part of Allianz Malaysia’s initiative in constantly communicating, listening and answering to customers’ needs through different platforms to provide results for its customers; one such is through social media. “In today’s world, social media is an uprising medium that is becoming more and more important for communication and engagement. There are more than 17 million internet users in Malaysia, representing 60.7% of the population as at June 2012. Out of this, more than 13 million are Facebook users1. Since more people access the internet and social media can represent the people’s voice, at Allianz Malaysia, we took the initiative to set up our very own Facebook page more than two years ago,” said Joannica Dass, Allianz Malaysia Berhad’s Head of Corporate Communications.
