REACH­ING 100,000 FANS ON FACE­BOOK, AL­LIANZ MALAYSIA CONTINUES TO CON­NECT WITH CUS­TOMERS THROUGH SO­CIAL ME­DIA

Al­lianz Malaysia cre­ated an­other mile­stone on 24 April 2014; achiev­ing 100,000 fans on its Face­book page as it continues to reach out to cus­tomers and the gen­eral pub­lic through so­cial me­dia. At 8.55am yes­ter­day morn­ing, Afifi Nazari from Se­lan­gor be­came the 100,000th fan on Al­lianz Malaysia’s Face­book page. Afifi was a lucky per­son who did not know that he will be re­warded with sur­prise good­ies from Al­lianz when he clicked the ‘Like’ but­ton on Al­lianz Malaysia’s Face­book page. He also re­ceived a spe­cial “Con­grat­u­la­tion” men­tion on the page. This is part of Al­lianz Malaysia’s ini­tia­tive in con­stantly com­mu­ni­cat­ing, lis­ten­ing and an­swer­ing to cus­tomers’ needs through dif­fer­ent plat­forms to pro­vide re­sults for its cus­tomers; one such is through so­cial me­dia. “In to­day’s world, so­cial me­dia is an up­ris­ing medium that is be­com­ing more and more im­por­tant for com­mu­ni­ca­tion and en­gage­ment. There are more than 17 mil­lion in­ter­net users in Malaysia, rep­re­sent­ing 60.7% of the pop­u­la­tion as at June 2012. Out of this, more than 13 mil­lion are Face­book users1. Since more people ac­cess the in­ter­net and so­cial me­dia can rep­re­sent the people’s voice, at Al­lianz Malaysia, we took the ini­tia­tive to set up our very own Face­book page more than two years ago,” said Joan­nica Dass, Al­lianz Malaysia Ber­had’s Head of Cor­po­rate Com­mu­ni­ca­tions.
