ALLIANZ AUTO ASSIST SMARTPHONE APPLICATION
Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (“Allianz General”) introduced its brand new Allianz Auto Assist smartphone application which will help many customers who need immediate roadside assistance. “A number of people may not know what to do when they are stranded on the road due to a breakdown or an accident. Some people will call their loved ones first while for others, they may not be sure who to call for help. With the Allianz Auto Assist smartphone application, customers can request for roadside assistance at a touch of a button. It is all about customer focus,” said Zakri Khir, CEO of Allianz Malaysia Berhad. The application is simple and easy to use. It has six main feature icons; Breakdown Request, Inbox, Emergency Numbers, My Profile, My Allianz and NCD Enquiries which provides everything a road user needs in terms of roadside assistance. Customers who are stranded at the roadside can touch the Breakdown Request icon to directly access Allianz General’s service provider for breakdown towing, to jumpstart their vehicle and to change a flat battery among others. Alternatively, they have the option to contact Allianz General’s call centre by pressing on the Call Centre button which connects them directly via a phone call. “The application is unique as it is equipped with GPS enabled technology. Through this, our roadside assistance service provider will know the exact location of our customers and quickly come to their aid. A list of emergency numbers such as police, ambulance and the fire department are also preloaded in the application in case of an emergency,” continued Zakri. Besides these, additional features include details of Allianz General’s branch network, panel clinics and hospitals as well as panel workshops and windscreens. An NCD Enquiry function is also built into the application for customers to check their NCD eligibility online. The application is available on iOS and Android platforms. Allianz General customers who are covered under the Allianz Roadside Assistance programme, namely Allianz Auto Assist, Road Warrior, Enhanced Road Warrior, Bike Warrior and CIMB Auto Relief can benefit from the convenience of this application.
