AL­LIANZ AUTO AS­SIST SMART­PHONE AP­PLI­CA­TION

Al­lianz Gen­eral In­surance Company (Malaysia) Ber­had (“Al­lianz Gen­eral”) in­tro­duced its brand new Al­lianz Auto As­sist smart­phone ap­pli­ca­tion which will help many cus­tomers who need im­me­di­ate road­side as­sis­tance. “A num­ber of peo­ple may not know what to do when they are stranded on the road due to a break­down or an ac­ci­dent. Some peo­ple will call their loved ones first while for oth­ers, they may not be sure who to call for help. With the Al­lianz Auto As­sist smart­phone ap­pli­ca­tion, cus­tomers can re­quest for road­side as­sis­tance at a touch of a but­ton. It is all about cus­tomer fo­cus,” said Zakri Khir, CEO of Al­lianz Malaysia Ber­had. The ap­pli­ca­tion is sim­ple and easy to use. It has six main fea­ture icons; Break­down Re­quest, In­box, Emer­gency Num­bers, My Pro­file, My Al­lianz and NCD En­quiries which pro­vides ev­ery­thing a road user needs in terms of road­side as­sis­tance. Cus­tomers who are stranded at the road­side can touch the Break­down Re­quest icon to di­rectly ac­cess Al­lianz Gen­eral’s ser­vice provider for break­down tow­ing, to jump­start their ve­hi­cle and to change a flat bat­tery among oth­ers. Al­ter­na­tively, they have the op­tion to con­tact Al­lianz Gen­eral’s call cen­tre by press­ing on the Call Cen­tre but­ton which con­nects them di­rectly via a phone call. “The ap­pli­ca­tion is unique as it is equipped with GPS en­abled tech­nol­ogy. Through this, our road­side as­sis­tance ser­vice provider will know the ex­act lo­ca­tion of our cus­tomers and quickly come to their aid. A list of emer­gency num­bers such as po­lice, am­bu­lance and the fire depart­ment are also pre­loaded in the ap­pli­ca­tion in case of an emer­gency,” con­tin­ued Zakri. Be­sides th­ese, ad­di­tional fea­tures in­clude de­tails of Al­lianz Gen­eral’s branch net­work, panel clin­ics and hos­pi­tals as well as panel work­shops and wind­screens. An NCD En­quiry func­tion is also built into the ap­pli­ca­tion for cus­tomers to check their NCD el­i­gi­bil­ity on­line. The ap­pli­ca­tion is avail­able on iOS and An­droid plat­forms. Al­lianz Gen­eral cus­tomers who are cov­ered un­der the Al­lianz Road­side As­sis­tance pro­gramme, namely Al­lianz Auto As­sist, Road War­rior, En­hanced Road War­rior, Bike War­rior and CIMB Auto Re­lief can ben­e­fit from the con­ve­nience of this ap­pli­ca­tion. Al­lianz Gen­eral is one of the lead­ing gen­eral in­sur­ers in Malaysia and has a broad spec­trum of ser­vices in per­sonal lines; small to medium en­ter­prise business and large in­dus­trial risks. The GWP for gen­eral in­surance business for fi­nan­cial year 2013 reached a mark of RM1.98 bil­lion. Th­ese chil­dren rep­re­sent those who pre­vi­ously had their wishes granted by the wish grant­ing or­gan­i­sa­tion, mak­ing this Fam­ily Day a spe­cial cel­e­bra­tion of their life and jour­ney thus far.
