General Takaful Agents Convention 2017
Kuala Lumpur, August 2, 2017 – The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) on August 2 held a one-day General Takaful Agents Convention 2017 in partnership with the Malaysian Takaful Association.
The convention was at Lanai Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, and attracted more than 150 industry professionals and key players who discussed, and addressed challenges and solutions in general takaful.
Participants also learnt current business issues, trends, developments and practices in general takaful within the agency force.
MII CEO Dato’ Haji Syed Moheeb Syed Kamarulzaman reiterated the importance and relevance of the convention as a platform to
gain insights and experience on three key areas – market industry updates, industry level discussion and networking.
“General takaful is a relatively new market and as such the convention is an opportune platform for industry players to come together to learn and be exposed to new knowledge and expertise as well as to debate industry issues and suggest solutions. This is an important avenue if the industry is to progress and sustain growth.
“The MII is also honoured to collaborate with MTA to organise the convention because the MII aspires to be a holistic provider of insurance education to a broader spectrum of the industry that covers life, general and takaful. The tie-up with MTA is our initiative to serve the takaful sector,” he said.
MTA Chairman Muhammad Fikri Mohamad Rawi reminded participants to take full advantage of the convention to learn and extract knowledge from the distinguished line-up of seasoned industry speakers and professionals.
“I would like to express my thanks to the MII for helping organise this year’s convention and to our distinguished speakers who have generously agreed to share their knowledge with us. It is an ideal catalyst to gain know-how and institute change,” said Fikri.
