MII Grad­u­a­tion 2017

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 Au­gust 2017 – The Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute (MII) cel­e­brated 351 of its lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional graduates at its grad­u­a­tion cer­e­mony held on Au­gust 23 at Sasana Ki­jang, Kuala Lumpur.

Grac­ing the event to present the cer­tifi­cates to the graduates was MII Chair­man Hashim Harun.

MII held its first grad­u­a­tion cer­e­mony in 1999, to-date has pro­duced 1,872 Di­ploma of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute (DMII) graduates, 1,623 As­so­ci­ate­ship of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute (AMII) graduates, 1,878 Cer­tifi­cate of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute (CMII) graduates and the sec­ond batch of 20 graduates for the Fel­low­ship of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute (FMII) this year.

MII has so far pro­duced 350 graduates who have com­pleted the AMII, DMII and CMII from Bangladesh, In­done­sia, Iran, Ja­pan, South Korea, Mal­dives, Oman, Pak­istan, Saudi Ara­bia, Sey­chelles and Thai­land.

The cer­e­mony rep­re­sents the for­mal recog­ni­tion of aca­demic achieve­ments and marks an im­por­tant cul­mi­na­tion of the hard work and sac­ri­fices for those who have suc­cess­fully

com­pleted any one of the fol­low­ing pro­grammes from 2016 to 2017:

Fel­low­ship of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute

As­so­ci­ate­ship of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute

Di­ploma of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute

Cer­tifi­cate of the Malaysian In­surance In­sti­tute

“Sig­nif­i­cant changes must be made to el­e­vate the per­for­mance stan­dards in the Malaysian in­surance in­dus­try in line with the global ad­vances in or­der to nar­row the gap be­tween the Malaysian in­sur­ers with es­tab­lished in­ter­na­tional best prac­tices and per­for­mance stan­dards,” said Hashim in his ad­dress to the graduates.

“In the process of el­e­vat­ing the per­for­mance stan­dards of pro­fes­sion­als in the in­dus­try, MII is com­mit­ted to be the ed­u­ca­tional part­ner for the in­surance in­dus­try.

“With pro­fes­sional ex­am­i­na­tions, qual­i­fy­ing as­sess­ments and ap­plied train­ing pro­grams of­fered by MII, we are in a solid po­si­tion to be the go-to cen­tre for all your in­surance ed­u­ca­tion needs.”
