Sa­vor au­then­tic Can­tonese cui­sine at its finest at the award-win­ning Lai Po Heen, where skilled chefs can be seen pre­par­ing the restau­rant’s sig­na­ture dishes from the open kitchen which is a unique fea­ture of the restau­rant. Din­ers will be spoilt for choice as the restau­rant serves a wide ar­ray of tra­di­tional culi­nary de­lights. Some of the no­table menu selec­tions in­clude crispy fried aro­matic duck with pan­cakes and condi­ments, jas­mine tea leaf smoked chicken with ginger and spring onion dip, crispy fried scal­lops with salted egg yolk and ce­real, and slow-cooked whole Aus­tralian abalone filled with fish maw in golden broth. The ex­ten­sive se­lec­tion of ex­quis­ite handmade dim sum fea­tures all-time favourites such as steamed crys­tal prawn dumplings (Har Gau), and steamed chicken with shrimp dumplings and diced abalone (Siew Mai), as well as in­no­va­tive cre­ations such as crispy prawn and squid dumplings coated with al­mond flakes and baked mini egg tarts flavoured with sweet corn. For desserts, in­dulge in the famed Durian Pan­cake, a de­light­ful serv­ing of durian mousse en­cased in del­i­cate Durian-like skin. Other favourite desserts in­clude chilled al­mond bean­curd with sea co­conut and dou­ble-boiled bird’s nest with rock sugar and ginger milk pud­ding.
