Oft mooted as one of the best fine dining restau­rants in town, Fer­di­nand’s of­fers sur­pris­ingly rea­son­able prices.

• The tomato-based seafood soup of crab, mussels, scal­lops, cods, prawn and lob­ster, is flam­béd by the ta­ble and ab­so­lutely de­li­cious, as is the newly cre­ated pur­ple car­rot soup with Asi­ago cheese beignet.

• For a lip-smack­ing main, the sig­na­ture grilled Wagyu rib­eye steak with bone mar­row sauce, shav­ings of parme­san cheese and mashed potato is a sound choice.

• The baba’ alla birra— baba in stout beer sauce, served with or­ange crème brulee—turns out to be quite scrump­tious.
