The blue fin tuna toro sashimi is an Unkaizan signature and the best way to savour the freshness of the fish. The deliciously red slices of tuna are soft and just melt in the mouth. The salmon toro sashimi is another winner with its bright orange hue and fat marbling. Wonderfully fresh, both dishes are a wonderful start to the meal.
The tempura moriawase is a crispy and crunchy combination of prawns, threadfin, sweet potatoes, eggplants and capsicum — all fried to a golden perfection.
The sauce on the unagi kabayashi is just the right amount of sweetness. The eel is tender and soft, a lovely complement to its crispy charred skin. This dish is a must-try.
Also worth trying is the blue fin tuna toro aburi. Slices of tuna are lightly grilled on the outside but they remain pink on the inside, giving them a wonderful smoky flavour.
