EXPERT’S OPINION

What do you think is the current trend?

This year’s wedding trend is all about timeless elegance and classic looks. We are speaking a lot about natural settings with hints of greenery—even Pantone named ‘greenery’ as the Colour of the Year! Thus, we focus mostly on a neutral colour palette, with a mixture of rose gold accents against softer hues for a balance.

Furthermore, flower detailing is of great importance. Therefore, you should opt for a more beautiful and neater floral arrangement. As we are surrounded by the shades of green in these floral detail and decor as well, staying au naturel is the key this year—and if you can’t celebrate outdoors due to the weather, the outdoors could always be brought indoors for you. Bouquets are getting bigger in blooms and old-school styles such as cascades and pageants are making a serious comeback.

What are your predictions for future trends?

Expect to see pops of bold shades and bright colour pairings in 2018. It would be interesting to do a vibrant colour themed wedding. Be ready to welcome the free-flowing burst of bright colours, with a natural touch and a modern vibe to it. Imagine elegant, colourful and flowy floral arrangements!

Styling ideas?

Lighting is one of the most overlooked and yet important elements used to create a certain ambience and mood for the interior. Fresh flowers come in different personalities and set off a variety of moods depending on the occasion. Keep in mind that the tiniest detailing, even on the floral arrangement matters. Along with great lighting and flowers, there comes the decor. Each and every decorative item matters in bringing the theme to life—you can’t have a show without a set or a backdrop!
