Guests were swept away by how touching the entire evening was, especially considering many of the bride and groom’s closest family and friends took time off for the once-in-alifetime occasion. Said friends and relatives also took it upon themselves to pay tribute to the bride and groom by belting out some songs during dinner, and the whole night was filled with karaoke sessions. Others, such as Michele Kwok, a good friend of the groom, took time to give a speech. The high point of the night was when the newlyweds themselves came up to address their guests, during which, at Siew’s gentle and demure temperament, guests were moved to tears.
