On a chilly morn­ing in Paris, we were driven 22km (about half an hour) from the city to a sub­ur­ban area that may seem non­de­script to ev­ery other per­son pass­ing by. But that was un­til we stopped at a par­tic­u­lar street, drove in to­wards the drive­way, and rested our sights on a beau­ti­ful 19th-cen­tury cas­tle shrouded by green­ery. The beau­ti­ful Chateau de San­teny and the en­com­pass­ing four-acred park was vi­brant, beau­ti­ful and sat­u­rated in flow­ers. Not just any flower though. If you think about Lancôme, only one flower is syn­ony­mous with the brand. Nat­u­rally, the gar­dens and in­te­rior was fes­tooned with bright pink roses. The set­ting was in­deed very pres­ti­gious, with its scenic ter­race, bright and el­e­gant lounges, mar­ble fire­places, an­tique par­quet and high ceil­ings. It speaks of re­fined lux­ury,
