Ester Ledecka made Olympic history by competing and winning the gold in two different sports, snowboarding and alpine skiing, at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics. The 25-year-old Czech champion said, “From the beginning, people have told me: ‘You can’t do both, you have to specialise, otherwise you’ll never reach top level.’ I said, ‘No, I want to practise both, and if it bothers you, I’ll find another coach because that’s how I’ll do it.’”
