One of Gucci’s most unexpected and exciting collaborations was with graffiti artist ‘GucciGhost’, Trevor Andrew. The nickname GucciGhost developed from the artist’s obsession with all things Gucci, most significantly its GG-logo. Even the logo for GucciGhost is, literally, a ghost, with Gucci G’s for eyes. So what was Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s creative director’s reaction when he saw the street rendition of the classic Gucci double G logo? He invited the street artist into his Gucci fold and worked together to produce an edgy collection with the Gucci Ghost graffiti on the brand’s FW16 collection, from the ready-to-wear to bags and shoes.
