Presented on an artistically designed runway, with a glass set designed by artist Dan Graham, Céline’s SS 17 collection featured a recurring pop of Yves Klein, the Nouveau Réalisme artist’s trademark colour of International Klein Blue, or IKB. White dresses were printed with the artist’s Anthropometry paintings from 1960: he painted the bodies of naked models in his signature colour, and they imprinted the patterns on paper. Céline also showcased his monochromes in artistic designs that highlighted both the French brand’s exquisite silhouette and the artist’s creative flair.
