Twiggy’s exaggerated ’60s bottom lashes made a huge comeback this fall, but were given a modern twist. Silver chrome eyelids were showcased at Chanel, to which Tom Pecheux incorporated two ’60s trends – a graphic cut crease and clumpy lower lashes, which were drawn on with eyeliner pencil. He then topped the lips with a flush of frosty pink lipstick, quite reminiscent of the lip colour in the go-go era. Jeremy Scott went for full on drama with long false lashes spaced out all along the bottom lash line.

Tadashi Shoji also used silver on the models’ eyes, but only applied them in between the drawn-on lashes along the lower lash line. Keeping the look simple yet statement was MGSM, where the eyelids were left completely bare, and both the top and bottom lashes were coated with several lashings of lengthening and volumising mascara.
