Bri­tish be­spoke beauty bou­tique, Cos­met­ics à La Carte, was founded by Lynne San­ders, a Chemist and Cos­metic Sci­en­tist with a pas­sion for nat­u­ral in­di­vid­u­alised beauty. With over 40 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the in­dus­try, Lynne is still very much in­volved in the de­vel­op­ment of new shades and for­mu­las at her brand’s London lab­o­ra­tory sit­u­ated in­con­spic­u­ously behind Sloan Square, which has been of­fer­ing made-tomea­sure makeup since the early 1970s.

To cre­ate your own cus­tom lipstick shade, you can pro­vide any­thing as a point of ref­er­ence – from a fab­ric swatch or a cut-out from a mag­a­zine to a spe­cific Pan­tone colour card. In less than hour, you can walk out the store with your very own cus­tomised lip­pie. Var­i­ous in­gre­di­ents are se­lected from a vast repos­i­tory of ready-made el­e­ments to mimic your cho­sen hue, and are blended right in front of you. It costs £55 (about RM300), and the lip­sticks come in matte, moisturising, shim­mer and translu­cent for­mu­las. You can even en­hance the lip­sticks with nour­ish­ing but­ters and SPF to keep your lips hy­drated and pro­tected through­out the day. As an added bonus, the lip­sticks are cru­elty-free, and com­pletely free from sul­phates, al­co­hol, palm oil, ph­tha­lates, paraben, preser­va­tives and fra­grance. In ad­di­tion to cus­tomised lip­sticks, the brand also of­fers nat­u­ral look­ing cus­tomblended foun­da­tions, blusher and highly pig­mented eye­shad­ows.
