@missjazminad It was during a trying time in her life that Jazmina Daniel decided to delve into the world of lip art. For the 25-year old Australian makeup artist, lip art was a form of cathartic outlet, to help her cope with her battle with cancer. She was diagnosed with a brain tumour when she was 14, and had a life-threating brain surgery at 17. Thankfully, the surgery was a success and the experience left Daniel with a newfound appreciation for life and art. “I believe that it was makeup that helped me get through it. In a way, it saved me,” she told Huffington Post. Daniel usually accompanies her lip art with cool 3D nail art, for just that little extra something. In her interpretation of the sinking of the Titanic, she used her nail art to resemble the rocky iceberg that sank the ill-fated luxury liner. So far, she has also recreated many detailed scenes from some of her favourite films and books. So intricate are her creations, that some of them take a few hours to complete. The humble lass uses her success on Instagram as a support network for those affected by cancer, and she continues to share her love and passion for lip art on her YouTube account and social media channels.
