WHY ARE JAPAN’S WOMEN GOING BACK TO THE ‘80S?

Marie Claire (Malaysia) - - Chief Notes -

This was definitely an insightful read. What seemed like a negative legacy is now seen as a cool period. Japan’s bubble era is one of a kind to me and it’s nice to read about how Kaori Masukodera is trying to bring it back with her pop-music duo called Bed In that draws inspiration from the ‘80s, from their music to their outfit. There’s also comedian Nora Hirano, who took a swing at the ‘80s. This not only made her famous for her jokes but her outfit had become a Halloween costume last year. The coming together of Japan’s citizens to relive the glory days is inspiring. 28, Soraya Ang, Penang
