HONDA AIMS TO SELL 2,000 CITY MONTHLY
No price increase for E and V versions, while S variant is RM1,000 cheaper
HONDA Malaysia Sdn Bhd has targeted sales of 2,000 units a month of the new Honda City. The C-segment car was launched yesterday with managing director and chief executive officer Katsuto Hayashi saying it is offered at the B-segment price without any increase.
The new City comes with Honda’s signature 1.5L i-VTEC engine, which is available in three variants of S, E and V, with an onthe-road prices of RM78,300, RM84,600 and RM92,000, respectively.
Honda Malaysia has kept the price of E and V variants unchanged, while the S variant is RM1,000 less than the previous S+ variant.
“I am confident these three variants can attract more buyers interested in upgrading for better value-added features.
“Honda Malaysia aims to sell 2,000 units of these variants per month,” said Hayashi yesterday.
The new City is available in five colours, namely Lunar Silver Metallic, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Taffetta White, Modern Steel Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
Since the launch of the 4th generation City in March 2014, the model has been the leader in the B-segment sedan category, with more than 100,000 units on Malaysian roads, which accounts for almost 40 per cent of Honda Malaysia’s sales in three years.
