Bid to sell Apollo Hos­pi­tals stake

SIN­GA­PORE: A unit of Malaysian sov­er­eign fund Khaz­anah Na­sional Bhd has launched a block deal to sell US$160 mil­lion (RM712.72 mil­lion) worth of shares in In­dia’s Apollo Hos­pi­tals En­ter­prise Ltd, a deal term sheet seen by Thom­son Reuters pub­li­ca­tion IFR showed on Thurs­day.

In­te­grated (Mau­ri­tius) Health­care Hold­ings Ltd is sell­ing about 8.4 mil­lion shares, or a six per cent stake, in the hospi­tal chain op­er­a­tor, with an op­tion to up­size for an undis­closed amount, the term sheet showed.

As at end-De­cem­ber, the Khaz­anah unit owned 10.94 per cent of Apollo Hos­pi­tals. The shares are be­ing sold from 1,267 ru­pees (RM84.42) to 1,320 ru­pees each.

Apollo Hos­pi­tals shares fell 0.4 per cent to 1,320.55 ru­pees on Thurs­day.
