Dad claims trial to incest with daughter
A 50-year-old father was charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday for committing incest with his daughter.
The man, who works as a contract worker, claimed trial to committing the offence at his home here about 12.30am in November 2011 when his daughter was 17.
He was arrested on Jan 12. Deputy public prosecutor Siti Ruvinna Mohd Rawi urged the court to deny bail as the accused could harass the victim.
Defence counsel Ishak Kari requested the court to consider bail, but left it to the court’s discretion.
None of the accused’s family members were present.
Ishak said the victim was no longer living with his client.
“The complainant no longer lives with her father. She is studying in a out-of-state university.”
Judge Ahmad Sazali Omar fixed March 21 for mention.
On Jan 19, the accused was charged at the magistrate’s and Sessions Court here for committing incest and outraging the modesty of his daughter in 2007 and 2015.
He was alleged to have committed incest with his daughter in mid-2007 about 12am at a house in a village here.
He also claimed trial to outraging the modesty of his daughter in mid-2015 about 2am at a house here.
