Experience silent disco on cloud nine
FANCY getting “high” on your music? Partygoers who want a different party experience can head for Desa Park City in Kuala Lumpur from Friday to Sunday for a silent disco on cloud nine.
The concept of individual partygoers dancing to music transmitted via wireless personal headphones is not new. But, grooving to beats up in the sky, courtesy of hot-air balloons, is taking the trend to new heights.
Forget the attitude and focus on the altitude. Now, how cool is that? The event is part of the hotair balloon festival, My Balloon Fiesta.
During the ride, hip-hop and house music will be played simultaneously on two separate channels.
Customers can channel their inner hip-hop/house while dancing to their favourite tunes.
There will be an hour-long session of heightened musical bliss happening at 7pm daily.
Tickets can be purchased at the venue for RM25 per person (if there are spaces available).
Tickets booked online are priced at RM20 per person via https://www.helipadcinema.com/ticketssilentdisco.
For a group booking (four people or more), email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each session is limited to 50 people.
All tickets purchased online include entry into the Silent Disco Balloon arena, a wireless headset rental, a wristband and glowsticks.
The silent disco is a unique music trend that is sweeping across the United Kingdom and Asia.
In 2008, KL-based DJ Goldfish of the duo Goldfish & Blink teamed up with DJ Rob (from the UK) to introduce silent disco in Malaysia for the first time.
Dubbed “42 Below”, the two deejays had set up a temporary club at the main entrance of the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping mall and invited people to take part in the event.
