Keris Conlay stay perfect
LAST year ’s AirAsia Malaysian Rugby League (MRL) runners-up Keris Conlay continued their winning run after beating Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UiTM) Lions 22-19 in a Premier Division tie on Sunday.
Keris Conlay are five-for-five for 24 points to lead Group B while Group A leaders Mersing Eagles redeemed themselves with a 35-33 win against defending champions Serdang Angels at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
The Eagles will meet Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) in the quarter-finals as Keris Conlay face the Angels on Saturday.
Division One moved into the semi-finals last weekend where Silver Gaurus and Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) JLJ booked their spots in the final that will be played on Sunday.
Silver Gaurus scored a 28-12 win over Beringin Rendang RC while ATM JLJ edged KL Tigers 15-12.
Terengganu RT and Navy Orca will face off in the Division Two final on Sunday following their respective wins over UTP Drillers (13-00) and Vioba Blues (15-13).
