ChemChina: Syngenta application accepted

New Straits Times - - Business World -

ChemChina said yesterday Beijing had accepted its application for regulatory approval of its US$43 billion (RM191.3 billion) takeover of Syngenta on February 9. Earlier, Gao Hucheng, who retired as commerce minister two weeks ago, said the government had not received a formal filing for China’s largest overseas acquisition. ChemChina spokesman Ren Kan denied this, saying the company had submitted the application and the ministry had accepted it.
