PORT KLANG: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) is phasing out its old vessels in stages.

Out of 255 assets that the agency had, more than 60 per cent of them were aged 35 years and above.

MMEA director-general Admiral Datuk Seri Puzi Kahar said the arrival of new patrol vessels in its fleet would enable the agency to perform better in ensuring security and peace in Malaysian waters.
